Edvantage Press
I've been teaching since...
1997
Which science subjects do you teach?
Science 8-10, Chemistry 11 & Chemistry 12
Which social networks do you belong to?
Facebook, Twitter
What is your favourite thing about teaching science?
Experiments!
The best advice I'd give a new science teacher would be...
to work smart. As much as you want to teach, students need to do their own learning. Let them take some responsibility for their own learning so it becomes meaningful.
I'd like to connect with other members about...
helping students who struggle with the enormity of the science 10 curriculum in BC.

Hi Philip,

Thanks for joining the community!
Here are a few things you can do to get started.

1. NETWORK Make friends with other BC secondary science teachers. Just click on a member, then click on 'add as friend' in the sidebar on the left.

2. COLLABORATE This community is a chance to share your expertise and influence the evolution of resources that you and your colleagues will use in the classroom. Keep an eye on the events tab for future opportunities to have your say.

3. SHARE Let others share an interesting video or resource you've come across. If you're feeling adventurous, why not wax lyrical on secondary science in our blog?

Have fun

Aerin
