"so let me get this straight...with flex books I can edit what i want my students to read and then a link is created? I can avoid hearing "i read the whole chapter" stuff when the whole chapter didn't need to be read? this is awesome!"

I have been bookmarking chemistry info on Delicious for several years now. You can find my bookmarks at http://delicious.com/tuchodi/bc_sc_chemSome of these may be outdated by now, but there are some good ones. If we all tag or chemistry bookmarks in delicious with bc_sc_chem then it is easy enough to find the collective set:http://delicious.com/tag/bc_sc_chemSee More

What is your favourite thing about teaching science?
Giving students an opportunity to explore science as it applies to them and the world they exist in.
The best advice I'd give a new science teacher would be...
Try and make science authentic and inquiry-based as much as possible. I know it's hard, especially with those high stakes tests at the end of the course.
I'd like to connect with other members about...
How are your students using new tools in their learning and what ways are students demonstrating or publishing what they have learning using the new tools?
