What is your favourite thing about teaching science?
I love the excitement of the real world, coming to life in the eyes of students
The best advice I'd give a new science teacher would be...
You're on a journey with your students - they need a teacher who loves the work, strives for rigour, relevance and relationship and will treat them with humour and dignity. Keep sane, laugh often, have fun. Keep your approach to the work very series but don't be afraid to be a real and honest person in their eyes.
I'd like to connect with other members about...
The stuff we all want to be connected about - what works and doesn't, how to fix the stuff we all do but isn't quite always a hit, what learning-outcome based assessment looks like in other classrooms, how to deal with the time crunch, etc. etc.
