Let me know what you think about the new BC Science Chemistry 11 Worktext. What do you like? What do you need? How can we make it better?

I'm quite excited - we are ordering some of the Chem 11 worktexts.  In our school, this will come out of our science department budget - which is shrinking year after year.  While I did not get enough for a class set, I hope to have students wanting to buy it for themselves.  At a cost of under $20 , this should not be too much of a problem.  Worst case scenario is that I use the books in class only and students do not write in them.  We are a linear school so I hope that students will purchase a copy - both for the units coming up, and for review at the end of the year.  Additionally, I love the extension materials - my Chem 11AP students will  be happy to not have to cart around a huge doorstop textbook.  Once students see how the books are organized, I anticipate that most will purchase them.  When I used the Mole test drive chapter in class, students and parents liked having all of the work in one place.  This is extremely helpful for students who typically struggle to keep themselves organized.  They have only one book to keep track of, and it contains a full set of notes with the assigned questions.  Studying for a unit test becomes much easier with all of the materials in one place.  When I test, I do so by outcome.  The units in this resource are set up nicely for assessment by outcome.  Students can easily see how the content has been "chunked" for each unit.
